International Checkpoint Watch - Daily Observations

Place Observed:  Surda

Number of Soldiers Present:  Four soldiers at checkpoint, one APC on hill.

Soldiers Names, ID #’s, License Plate #’s, Etc: 

Events Witnessed:

Soldiers checking IDs of both vehicles and pedestrians going in both directions.  Only random groups of men stopped for ID check.  Most vehicle and pedestrians permitted to pass. 

Situation remained calm and passed without significant incident.
