Place Observed:  Surda

Number of Soldiers Present:  Eight soldiers and an APC initially, later only four soldiers.  Tank and APC visible on hill.

Soldiers Names, ID #’s, License Plate #’s, Etc: 

Events Witnessed:

Most vehicle and pedestrian traffic permitted through.

Random checks of groups of men.  Random full searches of vehicles.

Much yelling by soldiers as one might yell at animals.  Light physical corraling of men to side of the road.  Some men held roughly at the elbow.

13:10-  APC went up hill with two soldiers. 

13:45-  APC came down hill, picking up two more soldiers on its way to Bet El.
