Refugee Camp
Reborn
Nearly five years after
the events of April 2002 devastated this impoverished
Palestinian refugee camp, I returned to the place where I'd
been among the first to document the destruction of that
earlier time, to witness again Jenin Refugee Camp, to revisit
old acquaintances and learn how the story of Jenin has
endured and surmounted its tragic past, and to be reminded of
the power and inspiration of the human spirit.
